A joint effort between the North Carolina local Health Department Agencies in Regions 9 and 10 and the Northeastern North Carolina Partnership for Public Health, funded through The American Rescue Plan Act.

NENCPPH
Northeastern North Carolina Partnership for Public Health (NENCPPH) is a partnership of health departments, North
Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS)., Universities, taskforces and coalitions that represent 18 counties in NC. NENCPPH was formed in 1999 to improve the health of people in the Northeastern region of NC and to improve the service potential of local health departments by working together to address health needs.
AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT
In September 2022 $62 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding was awarded to the North Carolina Division of Public Health through the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) in the form of a COVID-19 Public Health Workforce Grant. Some of these funds went to support the development and implementation of this Careers2MakeADifference campaign.
